Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Doctor Lamp uses cookies and similar technologies on our website: which cookies we use, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail how we handle personal information.

We only place non-essential cookies on your device after you have given consent through our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent because the site cannot function without them — this is explained below.

1. What cookies are

Some services also use related technologies such as tracking pixels and browser local storage; these work similarly and are governed by the same choices in our cookie banner. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.

Accept only necessary — only the cookies strictly required for the site to work are placed. No analytics or advertising cookies will run during your visit.

3. The categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

Essential for the website to function; they cannot be turned off. Without them, adding items to your cart, logging in, and checking out would not work. These cookies:

• Keep your shopping cart populated as you browse
• Maintain your session while signed in
• Process checkout securely
• Remember basic preferences such as currency
• Help protect against fraudulent activity

Most are set by Shopify, the platform that powers our store. Shopify's full list of essential cookies can be found in their official documentation.

Analytics cookies

These help us understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, where people come from, and where they leave. They do not run if you select "Accept only necessary."

• Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga*): visitor numbers, traffic sources, and user behavior across the site.

Marketing and advertising cookies

These deliver more relevant advertising on other platforms after you visit our site, and measure how our campaigns perform. They do not run if you select "Accept only necessary."

• Google Ads (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw): measures the effectiveness of our Google Ads campaigns and supports remarketing.
• Meta / Facebook Pixel (_fbp, fr): measures the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

5. Managing cookies through your browser

Note: blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site, including the cart and checkout.

6. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to it. Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but you can manage your preferences through our cookie banner or browser settings.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a tool that sets cookies. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
